Colgan Johnson is a Boston-based multidisciplinary artist, photographer, filmmaker, and educator whose work centers on storytelling, community, and creative collaboration. Born and raised in Dorchester, Massachusetts, his artistic practice spans photography, film, music, and public engagement projects that highlight the experiences and voices of local communities. In addition to his creative work, Colgan has spent years teaching and mentoring within Boston schools and community spaces, using art as a tool for connection and dialogue. Through his studio, 1981andCo, he continues to document people, culture, and everyday moments with a deeply human and community-focused perspective.
